Position Overview:
Sobia Villa, a well-established hotel in the heart of Jaffna, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including changing bed linens, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Bathroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish toiletries, and ensure that all fixtures are in working order.
- Linen and Towel Management: Collect and replace used towels and linens, ensuring they are cleaned and restocked promptly.
- Common Area Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in all common areas of the hotel, including corridors, lobbies, and recreational areas.
- Trash Removal: Empty trash bins in guest rooms and common areas regularly and dispose of waste in a hygienic manner.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report low supplies of cleaning materials and toiletries to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Guest Requests: Address guest requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance issues or room discrepancies to the maintenance department.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar establishment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
